Home schooling continues to rise

The numbers of Home schooled children continues to rise. "The estimated figure of students taught at home has grown 29 percent since 1999, according to the National Center for Education Statistics, part of the Education Department." Last year there were 1.1 million students being home schooled.

That quote by Feinberg of the National School Psychologist’s Association, just had my husband and I in total stitches... Cloistered??? Not on your life. We’re in the midst of our 7th year of home education and as our oldest daughter said once "I’m too busy with school work, activities and friends to worry about being socialized." These people need to realize home education is hear to stay and it’s cuts across every ethnicity, religion, or political view point.. It’s not just the realm of Christians anymore..
Home schooling has to be one of the most fear based ideas ever.
Its the best way to assure that you and only you will shape/control your childs mind.
Why bother your child with free will, you know best anyway right?
By the way, I did’ent know there where so many moms that have a teaching degree, how do I get one? it can’t be that hard.
To all you super smart moms out there who do the home school thing, I’d just like to say, Your making your kids just a little dumber then you are.
