Which polls got it right

Bevan & McIntyre of RealClearPolitics analyze the polls and which came closer to getting the results right: Battleground/Tarrance and Pew. Worth reading and filing. Let me take this opportunity to thank those guys for all the good work they have done. RealClearPolitics has made itself indispensable. Thanks much.

To toot my horn a bit here, in the service of another, I would like to give credit to electoral-vote.com. His daily compilation and sifting of both national and state polls helped me conclude that Bush would beat Kerry 287-251 (I missed Hawaii, New Hampshire, and Iowa). His pre-election postings were anonymous until the day of the election, when he revealed he was a Democratic, ex-pat computer prof plying his trade overseas.
