That we are using a comparative analysis to defend our donations shows that we are, in fact, stingy. Such an analysis looks to say, "We are giving as much as you, so you cant criticize us."
If we truly wanted to help the wave victims, then we would analyze our giving based on effectiveness.
I cannot get past the benefits we would reap if we spent billions helping the unfortunate rather than on killing and invading.
