Joe mentioned his piece on Bush Second Inaugural speech below (along with a host of others worth reading), but I invite you to read Joseph Knippenberg’s piece because I think it the best piece so far in trying to explain Bush’s affirmation of principle and prudence, while not ignoring the domestic political consequences of the masterful rhetoric.
