brought to my attention a site called Watching America. It translates news stories from foreign media about the U.S., something like what MEMRI does for Arab news about everything (not merely articles about the U.S.). Worth a look.

I really enjoy reading ’alternative’ new sources as well. Thank you for posting this site.
Another site that you may find interesting is www.antiwar.com. Although the intention is make a pro-peace statement, it primarily does so by posting articles from a vareity of sources that highlight the negative sides of war.
At the least, it is an alterntive the the cable news stations that are so disliked on this site.
