Thank you for posting this. I live just 15 miles from Lexington, MA, and the only version of this issue is that David Parker is an intolerant, homophobic bigot.
The people on the "other" side of this issue such as those counterprotestors in Lexington, and specifically, the Massachusetts Teachers Association (MTA) think that anyone who disagrees with them on this subject is an intolerant, homophobic bigot.
What I found striking is that the school administrators deny that this is sexual education. It seems to me even a fairly dull kindergardener might ask in a perplexed way "Why does the little boy have two mommies?"
In the fantasy world of these administrators and those on the left, they somehow think a parent can truthfully explain this without having to introduce the subject of homosexuality. It is very easy to see how they view parents as an impediment to "enlightening" their pupils.
Count me as perplexed as well, but being a resident of a state that not only elects, but respects people like Barney Frank and Gerry Studds, this is not in the least surprising.
