I haven’t followed these particular issues as closely as I should, but this LAT editorial seems to get matters about right.

By the way, I googled "Ruth Malhotra" (one of the plaintiffs, a fairly high profile campus conservative activist) and came across a number of blog posts that insult her in every way imaginable. Good thing she has a thick skin.

There should be little surprise in this. After twenty years of the PC movement, we’re just now beginning to see it’s logical conclusion.
