The beautiful and moving funeral was yesterday. We’re all wondering how the children will be able to do without the mom who anchored the family and how the grandchildren are going to do without the grammy who encouraged their musical talents and made wonderful meals for them. It goes without saying that the widower will have to figure out how to live alone after 49 years of sharing a home with someone.

I’m simply struggling back to a sense of work-related normalcy after having the teeth kicked out of me (figuratively, this time; earlier in the year, it was more or less literally).

All of which is to say that it may be some time before I do a lot of blogging.
