Commencement speakers

Protests at Boston College because Condi Rice is chosen as commencement speaker, and at The New School because John McCain will be the speaker. Both of them are crazy ideologues, of course, but our colleagues in the academy are rational and intelligent and thoughtful and deep and serious and hard-working...and I have some ocean front property in Ashland I want to sell you.

Well, McCain did vote to ban gay marriage. (this site probably disagrees, but even as the President acknowledged, something should be done so that gays get the same legalrights as straight people, marriage aside). but protesting becuas they don’t agree with him on something seems a bit stretched, and over the top. but people like to protest, and sometimes protest the wrong things to boot.
