Here’s a case where a very good book about Texas high school football was made into a better movie (starring Billy Bob Thornton) and into an even better TV show. But so far the show’s rating are terrible. If you want a sympathetic, extremely well acted and directed, psychologically subtle portrayal of one of the most fascinating and, yes, manly aspects of small-town American life, tune in Tuesday at 8 on NBC. Following my wife’s good advice, I watched last night and was immediately hooked.
While I didnt have the benefit of your wifes counsel (or command), I too watched and liked the show.
Well if the nutwork (no, thats not a typo) wants an audience for it, maybe they should consider airing it on like, say, Friday????
Airing it on Fridays would be the worst decision they could make--after all, arent the same people who are most likely to enjoy this series the same ones who are most likely to be attending high school football games on Friday nights?
lol - good call Mr. Moser.
Ive been wanting to see it. I just havent been home the past two Tuesday nights. Im glad to hear the good reviews - Ill have to make sure to watch next week.
