Thoroughly enjoyed the Buckeyes’ impressive victory beneath what Wodehouse called "the insidious California sunshine" (about 80 clear sunny degrees here on coast today). Peter and guests are celebrating tonight with a barbecued pork shoulder roast cooked with a spicy hickory rub, along with some hot Italian sausages (we almost got French apple sausages, but realized we couldn’t live with the humiliation), accompanied by giant popovers and a 2000 Turley Heyne Vineyard zinfandel. Back home tomorrow.
fantastic - I want OSU to play Michigan again for the championship - no other team has a prayer of beating OSU - Michigan could give us a game. Michigan played fantastic football, great game. Loved it. Florida cannot beat OSU, Notre Dame can’t, USC is overrated with a weak schedule, Rutgers - oops. Rematch, please!
As some who is usually bored to death by the midwest and the Big 10 or 12 or whatevever number of indistinguishable landgrant schools it now is, let me say that way one hell of an exciting game.
