From an AP story today:
Republican Sen. Norm Coleman of Minnesota, also took issue with Bush. "I cant tell you what the path to success is, but its not what the president has put on the table."

Well, the president knows, and hes failed to give even the vaguest description of how deploying these extra troops will change things. If anything, Coleman is being more specific.
To me the plan sounds like "weve poured 300 tons of sand into the ocean. I know its still wet out there, but another 100 tons will fix that." And every time a physicist points out that it wont work, Bush fires him and promotes a juinor physicist.
