John Derbyshire over at The Corner, writes about his mortification over the recent events with the British sailors and Marines. I link to it less because of what he says about England--many others have similar things--than because of what he says about his own turn against it and toward America. (He is an American citizen now for 5 years.) Would that we can hold on to such sentiment among all Americans--native born or otherwise. If we need a lesson about how not to achieve that goal we need only look across the pond.
