Faith and reason go together as well as Mike and Mitt.
Clint, why don't you go read what Ratzinger has written, why not go read the encyclical, FAITH AND REASON, or THE SPLENDOR OF THE TRUTH.
Read them.
Dan, believe me if I had the time I would. I did read Benedicts big speech from a year or two ago on faith, reason, and the Christianity/Islam comparison. I've seen the argument before and am unconvinced. Have you studied the Reformation and the battle over faith, reason, and works? This I believe shines more light on the conflict. Obviously the Catholic church tends to agree with itself, but I would ask you to read into the debates about salvation and the origins of faith from those times.
Christianity may be more reasonable than some religions but in the end the logical analogy is like the comparison of 1/infinity vs 100/infinity. Both of these are limited to zero.
