Yea, sorry, I think the Pope's encyclical on the virtue of hope is more insightful than old Ben's aphorism.
I dunno. I kind of like the 'ol Nietzschean approach of throwin' out something like that and then thinking about it for a long time. There's something very useful in that, I think.
In his emphasis on gaining wealth Franklin is clearly a materialist libertarian crypto-communist.
I would rather take Franklin's advice but thinking on it is easier. Which is why Marx never made any money?
