We could have been celebrating tonight the first Italian-American President, Rudy Giuliani.
Our party was insane to have rejected him.

Dan (and Julie??): Wrong conclusion. The base would have rejected Rudy by sitting out the election. All a Rudy nomination would have done is hasten the establishment of a third party. The life issues are foundational for many of us. It would have been much worse for the Repubs if Rudy had been the standard bearer, both for the election and for the future.
