I am told that an op-ed of mine will run in the Wall Street Journal tomorrow. My argument is that the Obama administration's new rhetorical regime (no more "unlawful enemy combatant," no more "war on terror") masks substantive changes that will hamr US national security.

Try it as a link. Beautifully done, Mac, well-reasoned, indeed. Here's hoping it helps the Obama administration arrive at some reasonable stance towards enemies of civilized order. I don't like to think about the consequences, otherwise. The thought that our political leaders will have to get to panic in order to overcome an unreasonable idealism is not pleasant.
