Post-modern public intellectual Stanley Fish has long bedeviled conservatives (as well as conventional liberals), but I've found him entertaining and sometimes instructive. One suspects he enjoys being contrarian just for the sake of it. Consider his review of Sarah Palin's autobiography. The last paragraph:
The message is clear. America can't be stopped. I can't be stopped. I've stumbled and fallen, but I always get up and run again. Her political opponents, especially those who dismissed Ronald Reagan before he was elected, should take note. Wherever you are, you better watch out. Sarah Palin is coming to town.
Yes, you better watch out - Sarah Palin is coming to town and you sissy liberals better learn how to throw like a man and use something more manly than tomatoes. Of course Sarah Palin, like Ted Nugent, hunts and kill her own food, so you sissie-throwing liberals better make sure you hit your target right the first time. But then again, liberals hate the second amendment so I guess you will all have to settle for tomatoes or pies. The track record for sissy-liberal throwing pies and tomatoes at conservatives and missing at from 4 feet:
Conservaties 3 - Sissy-Throwing Liberals 0.
"Of course Sarah Palin, like Ted Nugent, hunts and kill (sic) her own food, so you sissie-throwing liberals
["sissie-throwing"???] better make sure you hit your target right the first time."
Spare me. The only thing Palin hunts for is a good deal at the mall or the grocery store.
And I'm always amused when conservatives are willing to utter/write Nugent's name when engaging in hero worship. What a classy fellow:
Yes - sissie-throwing liberals because they can't hit their targets four feet away. Instead the sissie-throwing liberal hits a cop. I don't care who you are that is funny.
No hero worship on Nugent. Just plain facts. The guy hunts and kills his own food. Liberals idolize muslim terrorists and love criminals. They are wiling to treat muslims and criminals with all due respect, but have no problem killing innocent unborn babies. Call it a choice, call it a picnic, call it fetus, call it a growth. The fact is it is an unborn human being.
"Spare me. The only thing Palin hunts for is a good deal at the mall or the grocery store." Right, of course you are an expert on Sarah Palin's life and what you say about her is the truth. Geez, you could be a star commentator on MSNBC, the least watch cable news network.
With some subtle eraser work one could make that title a lot more interesting.
