Oh, nature has order, but it's episodic and runs in cycles of catastrophe. Come to think of it, that's true of human societies as well.
But where do our "realists" stand on that issue?
I was reading about chaos theory for awhile, a number of years ago. What was noticed in the studies was that chaos has parameters. Natural chaos has its limits. Any chaotic event goes just so far and no farther. There really is not total chaos; there is just no such thing. A limit to chaos is not the same as order in human terms, but it implies that chaos has a place in the natural order of things.
