Reagan Honored
Posted in Conservatism by Peter W. Schramm
Stephen Knott knows a lot about Reagan (see
At Reagan's Side and
The Reagan Years), and
this is his tribute to the man for what would have been his 100th birthday. There will be a few more of these that I will bring to your attention over the next few days. Here is one from
Peggy Noonan. I also mention
Steve Hayward's NR cover article (even though he has already promoted himself, surprise!). I must say that there is no better way to honor the Gipper than to buy Steve's books:
The Age of Reagan: The Fall of the Liberal Order: 1964-1980,and the second volume,
The Age of Reagan: The Conservative Counterevolution: 1980-1989. They are available in most local bookstores.

We have homeschooled our son since sixth grade. Lucky him. Home schooling laws in California require that a Private Affidavit be filled out each year. When my son entered high school we let him name the school on the Affidavit. He decided to call the school "Ronald Reagan High School". He competes in High School Rodeo, Junior Rodeo and Team Roping competitions through out the State. He wanted a Letterman's Jacket this year for Christmas. So we got online and designed one. It arrived last week. The back of the Jacket states:
Ronald Reagan
High School
Rodeo Team.
The Gipper would be proud.
And the team's motto? I certainly hope it's "Let's rope this one for the Gipper!"
Sounds like a winner to me!
