No Left Turns

Yes, and that’s exactly what worries us!

Hillary Clinton to the New York Post (commenting on the musical selections on her iPod):

"I’m a child of the ’60s and ’70s."

Well, I never thought her the type to prefer a march, such as "The Grenadier Guards." Nor prefer listening to "Land of Hope and Glory" or "Sambre et Meuse."

Bet Hill’s eyes mist over every time she hears The Carpenters doing "We’ve Only Just Begun."

To borrow a phrase from Elvis Costello (and Nick Lowe): "What’s so funny ’bout Peace, Love, and Understanding?

No. I don’t think that Hillary tears up listening to The Carpenters. Remember The Carpenters performed at The White House for Richard Nixon, who extolled them and their values, and held them up as an example for youth, during the counter-culture. So The Carpenters might be too ancien regime, for the iconoclastic "Hillary."

You guys got it all wrong. Hillary’s favorite song, no doubt, is also Brian Coughlan’s. "Imagine" by John Lennon.

why are you guys so mean and nasty?

perplexed: It’s part of the "Manliness" norm on this blog. When they get tired of sniping at Cindy Sheehan, they make fun of Hillary. Later, they will scoff at values such as "tolerance," "equality," and "empiricism."

Imagine all the people living life in peace... you hooo may saaay I’m a dreamer, but I’m not the only one... I hope one daaay you will join us.. and the World will live as one...
