Darn those silly Copperheads. Trying to end the bloodshed and slaughter brought about by an unnecessary invasion and save the Constitutional Republic that Lincoln was trampling. Those bastards. :-)
Yeah, I hate the way that Lincoln prevented the election and open political opposition during a war in 1864. He silenced and arrested all those Copperheads, trampling their rights. Good thing the Confederacy separated and created a free, constitutional republic!
