"We", meaning my generation, are going to "afford it" by a combination of 80% taxes and high inflation (inflation is how the state will ease it's debt).
It will be our moral duty to ourselves and our children to shelter our wealth any way possible - mostly by putting it in other dynamic economies and retiring to Mexico. In other words, your generation blew it - not ours...
