Do you ever buy coffee or other products marketed as "Fair Trade" because you think it's better for the farmers who produce them?
Yeah, me neither.
No. Could care less. "Organic" and "Fair Trade" is silly. But it makes someone a buck. That's all that matters.
Nope. I live in the middle of what is left of one of California's largest agricultural communities. Farmers and ranchers will tell you that Organic and Fair Trade slogans are a joke.
And he beholdeth the heaven opened, and a certain vessel descending, as it were a great sheet, let down by four corners upon the earth:
Wherein were all manner of fresh fruits and vegetables, and kosher food, and starbucks coffee, and a giant burrito from Chipolte stood.
And there came a voice to him, Rise, Peter; swipe your credit card and Paul shall also be treated fairly.
But Peter said, Not so Master(card); for I have never eaten any thing that robs me to pay Paul, nor do I tip waitresses because the market is efficient, and that simply allows employers to pay them less.
And the Priceline Negotiator? voice spoke to him again the second time, What I have cleansed, by negotiations in good faith that call not you common.
This was done thrice: and the vessel was received up again into heaven.
That was fantastic.
