I am told that an op-ed of mine will run in the Wall Street Journal tomorrow. My argument is that the Obama administration's new rhetorical regime (no more "unlawful enemy combatant," no more "war on terror") masks substantive changes that will hamr US national security.

The Teaching American History Podcast is based on programs for teachers sponsored by the Ashbrook Center. These seminars are designed to encourage teachers to seriously examine significant events in American history in light of the principles of the American founding, and also to encourage the use of primary source materials in the classroom. Try it as a link. Beautifully done, Mac, well-reasoned, indeed. Here's hoping it helps the Obama administration arrive at some reasonable stance towards enemies of civilized order. I don't like to think about the consequences, otherwise. The thought that our political leaders will have to get to panic in order to overcome an unreasonable idealism is not pleasant.
