Michael Kelly not only nails down who the so-called peace activists were on the weekend, and chastizes the press for their incomplete coverage, but has some thoughtful paragraphs on the contemporary left. Here is the money quote:
"The left has hardened itself around the core value of a
furious, permanent, reactionary opposition to the devil-state America, which
stands as the paramount evil of the world and the paramount threat to the
world, and whose aims must be thwarted even at the cost of supporting fascists
and tyrants."
Hopefully this is just the Democrats trying to play politics with the Republicans. In other words, the demonstrators are just pawns, and the Democrats are simply content that somoneone is demonstrating and that the American people will take it at that, namely that someone is demonstrating(end of story). But it is one thing to have a feud between darwves and elves, it is another thing altogether for one side to bring in the Orcs. At least the other side is still doing its best to disguise the Orcs. For those that read the Times (I don’t) only to complain of bias, I have to wonder what it would mean if in such a publication the true nature of the demonstrators could be openly admitted.
