The good news yesterday was that Democratic Senator Mark Dayton (MN) will not run for re-elecgtion. Too bad, easy seat to win for the GOP, it seemed to me. But then even better news showed up: It looks like Al Franken will run for the seat. Excellent. The good news just continues to roll in.
Addendum: Apparently, at the end of his radio show today, Franken said he will not run in 2006, but may run against Coleman in 2008, according to the AP.
That link you sent readers to says that Franken will NOT run.
It also says that Rod Grams will run.
Thats not good news. We need Mark Kennedy to run, and, on the other side, Collin Peterson and "Jesse the Mind" not to run.
I could not help but ponder Al Franken as a Democratic senator. The Dems have enough problems as it is. It only made me think of a line by Laurence Olivier in "Spartacus" who portrayed a schemeing power hungry Roman general who once related to one of his underlings. "We have already been made fools of ( November 2)let us not add the trappings of a clown" (Franken?).
Thats s-c-h-e-m-i-n-g. No 2nd e necessary.
To The Teacher Jesse Fan Never Had, ahem, Thank you for your observation. Is that all you have to offer? Seems that your Plain of Inquiry is in the clutches of a drought.
