The McCain Mutiny, Continued

Today John McCain wins the E.J. Dionne primary in the Washington Post. A sure sign, if onemore were needed, that McCain’s prospects as the Republican nominee in ’08 are doomed. (Since when has E.J. Dionne ever had the best interests of Republicans in mind?)

John McCain, for some reason, reminds me of Huey Long, the Senator from Louisiana assassinated in 1939. I grew up in Louisiana, and both of my parents were living there during the 1930’s. McCain seems to have the same basic brashness, narcissism, and greed, as well as the total lack of intellectual scruples as the "Hog". I don’t find anything honorable in either his politics or his personality, and he can go to He$$ with my blessings, and with no regrets from this part of the nation.

I’ve often thought that the Cong put the zap on his head while he was in the Hanoi Hilton.
