great, so we teach the kids ebonics....and that helps them in life how? since they seem to think the kids do not go on to college because they dont understand english well enough, maybe the schools should start teaching them english...i dont think learning in ebonics is going to help you get ready for college
Ebonics is just a fig leaf to cover the inability of so many black children to excel in school. Instead of making excuses, they should just get on with teaching the 3 R’s and set the bar as high as possible. I for one am really tired of looking the other way as the naked emperor walks by.
