This is John Funds take on how the Harriet Miers nomination came to be, and how it was botched. Not a pretty story, if true. Near the end of his piece he says: "I believe it is almost inevitable that Ms. Miers will withdraw or be defeated."

Alice Batchelder of the Sixth Circuit was deep-sixed by an old Ohio political rival, Republican National Committee co-chairman Jo Ann Davidson.
Like I said on another post, the voters deserve better than to have a petty, vindictive liberal as their co-chairman. Its time to send Davidson packing.
Did you guys realize that you allowed all of this hub-bub about the old bag Miers to distract you from a proper salute to Maggie "Tina" Thatcher on her 80th birthday!!??? Hard to believe!
