If PETA Hates Him He Should Advertise It

This is not exactly the humanizing flaw I was looking for in Romney, but I’ll take it. If PETA hates the guy, he must be doing something wrong that’s actually right. Notice the comment from the PETA spokeswoman equating the importance of dogs with that of children. There’s nothing new about that, of course, but it is telling. I think that attacks like this do wonders to improve the perceptions the vast majority of sensible Americans have about Mitt.

It is ridiculous to suggest that this will *improve* Romney's standing with voters. He comes off looking pretty bad, even if the people complaining are making bad analogies.

I agree with Julie, the most human thing I've heard yet about Romney. Maybe some of the naysayers haven't had as many children as Mitt, which is anothet thing in his favor by the way. Children more important than dog. Loved dog enough to take him on their vacation. Better man than I am!
