"Democrats Need to Shake the ’Elitist’ Tag"

I wholeheartedly agree with this article, but note the author: Lynn Forester de Rothschild.
Lynn Forester de Rothschild? Is this a parody? What next? Bertie Wooster writing about auto repair and cooking?

Dear Sirs,
A number of years ago I met Steven Rockefeller on a municipal golf course in Stamford, CT. I had just wandered up there looking for a game and the starter paired me up with Steven and his friend. We had a good time and over a beer he asked for my address. A couple of months later I received an invitation to his golf tournament - "the Snowball Invitational". He put it on in November. It was played at Pocantico Hills - the golf course on the Rockefeller Estate.
He invited me back four more years. The tournaments ended when the estate was donated to the State of New York. I remember the first foursome. A senior vice president of Chase Manhattan Bank, a man who had recently negotiated the hiring of the president of American Airlines, a counter salesman at Ace Auto Parts and me - a guy he met on a city golf course.
I met his mother and his wife. I wont attempt to describe these people, but there's a real lookalike out there now - Sarah Palin.
Regards,
Roy
Well Roy, that's one hell of a story.
